HOW TO FIND US

To get to Fir Lodges, take the A9 north out of Inverness over the Kessock Bridge and signposted to Wick and Ullapool. Continue on the A9 for about 6 miles and take the second exit at the Taw roundabout on the A835 to Ullapool. Continue along this road for about 11 miles until you reach the village of Contin. Approximately 0.5 miles after the village of Contin turn right (signposted Moray Firth Tourist Route). Follow this road until you reach the village of Strathpeffer and turn right at the large brown tourist information sign to Blackmuir Wood. Continue along this road and take the left fork (ignore the Unauthorized Vehicles sign). You will pass the lodges on the right but continue to the car parking area and reception by turning right when you reach the gate.

For those not wishing to drive up to the Highlands there are very good air and rail links into Inverness and vehicle hire can be arranged.

The West Coast is less than an hours drive, where you can cruise round the Summer Isles or visit the famous Inverewe Gardens then carry on to the Isle of Skye. The East Coast is some six miles away at Dingwall and from there you can take the A9 North to John O'Groats or even take a trip to the Orkneys which are within reach for a days outing.
